The State of Investment into Security Token Infrastructure — Q1 2019
Over Half of a Billion Dollars is Building Out The Future of Security Tokens
We at Security Token Group are long on security tokens and have been tracking the space since 2017, the year that the first custom-coded “Security Token” smart contracts were raising capital. Since then, an influx of infrastructure has been unleashed and with it, fresh capital to develop technology, markets, and platforms.
With over a year of history to the industry, we wanted to map and track all of the infrastructure companies that successfully raised outside capital and what kind of firepower was behind them. This information also helps indicate the traction of the industry as a whole while providing relevant financing data for the firms within it. Included in this list are also equity crowdfunding and “ICO” companies that have adapted and raised capital to support security tokens. If you have information that is missing from this list, please leave a comment!
The punchline: At least $610,000,000+ has been invested into security token infrastructure.
We anticipate that this number will continue to rise. Below is the list of companies making this figure real.
